I love his offensive philosophy of emphasizing the 3, which was popular with a lot of teams in the 90s. I’m not sure why everyone got away from it. With the recruits he could draw at Kentucky, Oats would be enormously successful and would be the BMOC rather than playing second fiddle to Saban.

He would need a few more consistent years to take over at UK. But I agree, he's a solid coach who seems to know what he's doing.

Owns the SEC this year, that is for sure.

Well, we'd love to see those big blue titties. We all have fantasies.

Would you like to see Nick Saban there too?

That would be great but he better bring those shooters with
him.

His Buffalo teams could shoot the lights out of the gym.

And it's starting. I told Bama fans before their winning streak in the SEC that blue bloods are going to want Nate Oats.

I take it you never watched his Buffalo teams? The guy is an elite coach on both ends of the floor. He and Chris Beard are the future stars of college basketball coaching.

We (the die-hard Bama bball fans) already knew that. That's why we hired him. As a Bama football fan, I understand the pull of the blue bloods. I'm hoping the potential to be as good as the blue bloods, and the money we can pay, will keep him.

Maybe y'all can take Chris Beard off of our fricking hands. I'm sick of Texas playing him 2-3 times per year

Even if Cal is not going anywhere, there's a great coach at a small school that's doing wonders. I bet Mark Pope gets a call first.

I doubt Oats jumps ship this quickly. Now, if we don’t pay the man and he takes us to the tourney in back to back seasons and makes a sweet 16 or two then maybe. Also, if I were him, I’d be pushing for a new Arena. Bama has the money and the fan base has been wanting a good basketball team for a LONG time. We could easily fill up a huge basketball arena and be just as hard an out as anyone in the county.
