Still not sure why we kicked it to Trindon Holliday in that 2006 game. We had just taken all the momentum with an 80 yard TD run by McFadden to give us the lead and then gave it right back.

At the time, nobody was really ready for that except LSU. And I think he surprised them too. Little man had lightning speed I'll never forget.

But late in the game, if I remember correctly, Hootie had DMAC on the bench with the game on the line. He (or was it Gus) calls 3 straight (incomplete) pass plays for Casey and the rest is history.

Hootie could often snatch a defeat straight from the jaws of victory.

With good intention, some of us tried to warn Ole Miss but it was too late.

I remember when Mcfadden had just scored and was celebrating with the players. Then Holiday scored and as Mcfadden was a bout to sit down, he slammed the water bottle on the ground.

But the next year, he brought dat wood!

DMAC will always be one of my all-time favorites.

DMAC was a bad dude. I loved watching him play, just not against State.
