Would Arkansas fans be ok with keeping Mike Anderson if Ethan Henderson decides to stay?

Could be the difference between another year like this year or a Final 4 run

I have come around on Mike Anderson I think. I think it's time for him to go. He hasn't handled things well since Arkansas lost that game to Florida. It sounds to me like he has lost the locker room.
I understand that he doesn't want to get rid of any of his staff, and under normal circumstances I would agree that hiring mercenary type coaches doesn't work unless you're Alabama football and have 5 star athletes on your three deep, but this basketball team seems to lack any sort of killer instinct. They have talent all over the place, but they're mentally weak for the most part. They lack consistency. Sometimes they lack effort. Sometimes on defense they look undisciplined and unfocused.
A coaching change is in order to get these players playing with heart 100% of the time. To be sound enough in the game fundamentals to not go long periods of the game without a fricking bucket. If Mike can't see that, the coaching change needs to happen with him. I hate it for him, because I think he is a fantastic basketball coach, but in the end we just can't keep waiting for everything to click and have this guy make a run. Arkansas is getting lapped by the competition right now in its calling card sport (or used to be anyways). We need better recruiting right away. Can't keep losing top in state talent. We need a few guys that are bruiser types down low, we need a true 4 who can play both offense and defense at a high level consistently. Chaney may develop into that type of player, but he's talking about frickin leaving. Mike certainly can't have that happen.
And if a coach is being held hostage by a 19 year old kid, the coach hasn't done a good enough job recruiting. He needs a guy who can just take Chaney's minutes if need be. Love Gabe Osabouein, but I don't think he will ever develop into much of an offensive threat. At least not with these coaches. We don't work enough on fundamentals.
So in the end I guess you can chalk it all up to poor roster management more than anything else.

Well, I still think the guy is a fantastic coach. Given enough time I think he would eventually have a team break through. But for whatever reason he isn't getting it done and if he's losing the locker room he's gotta go, IMO. We can't wait forever.

No, frick him.
If people couldn't see how little ability CMA has to improve beyond his eight year record at Arkansas, then they're either willfully ignorant or a really fricking dim bulb.
It has taken the reduction of monetary income in the form of apathy to make the Money finally come around to what needed to happen years ago.
In this instance it seems clearer than usual that the Money's primary interest in the basketball product at Arkansas is it's ability to generate income, or it's inability to do so. Results notwithstanding.
It frankly sucks to get older and more frequently come to this realization.

I like mike we just had a young team and finished about where I thought we would. We we're competitive even in the loses with the exception of the Tenn game, and typical of a young team they can't close the game out. I'm excited about next year

We had a young team because Anderson has little to no ability to effectively manage an effective roster.
Having a young team is not an excuse, it's a result.
