Worst case scenario for VOLS

3 games in 3 days and Schofield gets injured for absolutely nothing.

A win today and you could make an argument playing on Sunday is worth it (I would argue it’s still not) but getting to Sunday and losing in this event when you’re already in is the absolute worse case scenario.

Would much rather have been Auburn and lost Friday.

Congrats on the W btw UK

Y’all needed to get a taste what it is like to get in a grind out game in a tourney setting. This weekend benefits y’all to advanced far to the NCAA’s.

I think you all will be fine. I think I'll have you all in atleast the sweet 16.

I have been saying this otb for a week now. This tournament in it’s current form (Sunday final) punishes teams who advance.

A loss yesterday was my ideal outcome.

Zero incentive to advance if you’re already in the postseason.

Just an awful outcome for VOLS.

How bad is schofield’s injury? If he can play Thursday/Friday, not a big deal. You made it to the SECTCG, that’s pretty good and I’d risk an injury to win a title.

I disagree. I think the bitter taste of an L might be just what they needed before the tourney.

It worked for our 2012 and 2014 teams. A loss like this can really fire up a team.

Our draw was just too easy. We easily would have lost to Bama imo as bad as we played Friday.

Unfortunately we were stuck with State and then we played Arkansas running on fumes yesterday.

I like watching it, but can’t help but feel that all the conference tourneys are at their core, meaningless. Unless you’re a team that isn’t in the ncaa tourney already, of course

It’s worked for some Kentucky teams in a similar situation.

Yeah they are a fun watch for hoops junkies and I have gone to several of them but they are close to 100% meaningless in P5 leagues.

I was cheering hard against us yesterday.

would rather lose today and get that out of the way. Now we have been in the situation, got that out of the way.. and move on

Looks like he got popped in the nose. But not broken. Obviously not a concussion. Should be ready to go. Had a hell of a game today.
