It’s got to be LSU, Georgia, Bama, and State right? Vandy would be included but it’s very unique. USC, Ark, Ky, and UT might as well be NBA arenas. Florida recent renovated and Ole Miss and Auburn have new venues. Not sure of the Ags, but Mizzou wasn’t all that great watching tonight.

I have been to every arena in the league at least once in the past three seasons with the exception of The Hump in Starkville, which I've never been to.

Alabama is the worst in the league with UGA a close second. As I said I haven't been to MSU, but I would put the PMAC a tick above Bama and UGA.

A&M is pretty nice but very sterile. There's something odd about Mizzou Arena that I can't put my finger on but it is also fairly nice.

I am a big fan of The Pavilion and Auburn Arena but as you said they are both very different from Rupp, CLA, BWA and TBA.

I would group them like this. Not cross ranking any of the categories.

NBA Style
1. Bud Walton
2. Thompson Boling
3. Rupp (This moves up if you are measuring the aura, even with the bluehairs, but I am not a huge fan of the aesthetics and also don't like the layout of it being connected to the hotel and convention center)
4. Colonial Life

New smaller gyms with prominent student sections and emphasis on premium seating
1. Auburn
2. Pavilion
3. O'Connell Center (I put this here because it doesn't really fit anywhere else. Not as well done as the other two, but still a pretty solid basketball environment)

Nice but sterile with no real memorable or unique qualities
1. Mizzou
2. Reed Arena

"Historic"
1. Memorial
2. PMAC
3. Steg
4. Coleman

Quality over quantity baws.

This is not a dick-measuring contest.

It is about the atmosphere and comfort.

No one wants to sit in an empty 20,000 seat Arena with metal seats game after game any longer.

Upgrade or close it down and let your fans just watch it on t.v.

Who has this?

Kentucky wakes up in the morning with 22,000+ in the building, Tennessee gets 18K+ just about every night these days with any decent opponent selling out and has a 10 year average attendance north of 16K per game.

Arkansas fills up BWA if they have a semi decent product.

Colonial Life is probably too big but they can sell it out for big games.

None of those places have metal seats with the exception of Rupp. Thompson Boling has the most premium seating in the league.

Yes it's great that OM and AU have small venues with students right on top of you, and I love both arenas, but Arkansas is still the loudest arena in the league imo and Tennessee and UK have both had multiple 30+ game home win streaks in the last 10 seasons.

Worst will be OM or barners. Any level headed person will understand that there's no real need to collect that many douches at once.

No they don't.

Stop trying to sensationalize things.

Colonial Life is amazing but way too big. We don't have the basketball fanbase to fill up an 18,000 seat arena every night. Ideally it would be around 12,000 capacity, but the fact it's used for concerts and other events I guess we have to live with it.

Well if the men were ever in the top 25 again you'd change your tune a bit. If we can sell out a women's basketball game we could sell out men's game if we were actually good.
