Which program has gone downhill more?

UCF since winning the 2017 title
or
LSU since winning the 2019 championship

This is not asking for a comparison of the teams, as LSU (and most SEC teams) would clearly beat UCF by two touchdowns or more.

I'll go with UCF. At least LSU is still relevant in the college landscape and can recover. We may never hear from UCF again.

UCF doesn't lose to Auburn.

You’ve hit a low point when you mention UCF and LSU in the same sentence. So, LSU it is.

He does seem a bit desperate for a favorable comparison, doesn't he?

Has UCF played Auburn since 2017?

Definitely LSU since they actually won a national championship and immediately started losing about half the games they play right after that

Probably, lol. But when the same teams win every season in college football, there weren't many choices for others.

LSU IMO. UCF was never really “there” to fall from.

After the 2019 season there was no where to go but down. But never would of figured you go from 15-0 to 8-7 over the next 15 games. And with losses (MSU 2020 & AU 2021) that broke home win streaks as well.

It’s not just the losses but the manor of the losses.

LSU actually seems to be a little improved from last year.

UCF just keeps getting worse. They are in a free fall it seems.

I only mention it now since you asked, but in my lifetime no title winning team failed worse the next season than LSU did. I don't think anybody expected anything like that. Then, Orgeron had this chance to hire experienced coordinators and he hired guys that have never done it before. It's mind boggling.

No title winning team in your lifetime ever went .500 in conference play the next season?

You sure, Granny?

LSU is the greatest collapse in CFB history. From the greatest team ever to consecutive seasons without a bowl game.
