Likely already been said 1000 time tonight, so just add me to that number.

Jalen Hurts is emblematic of what is good about college football.

That truly was a poetic way for that game to end.

First time I’ve ever rooted for Bama was because of that kid. It was so weird to see saban that emotional after that game

Do any LSU fans think he would sit out a bowl game or fake an injury with a couple of games to play, or sandbag an entire season like all the star players in recent years at L8U?

I haven’t been keeping track, but how many tigger players will opt out this year? What a great team, ysssr a real team, one heartbeat.

Hurts was never as bad as Bama fans made him out to be. He wasn’t setting the world afire but he was solid and didn’t lose games for Bama and won a lot of games with his legs.

In reality, the L8U players actually have a NFL career to look forward to, unlike Jalen Hurts. I admired him for staying at Bama and finishing up school.

No he was bad against elite defenses, see Clemson in the natty and UGA last year. But Enos has done wonders, he’s not the same player he used to be. He’s a starter for almost any other team in the country now that Enos has worked his magic. I love him to death for staying and being a man and choosing to get better instead of taking the easy way out.

When you say “all the star players”, can you elaborate (will acknowledge Fournette)?

I was thinking before the game that the most poetic outcome would be for Fields to take over after Fromm struggled for the first half and lead UGA to the win on a walk-off, but I was wrong. The Hurts story, especially as he ran that last TD in with a minute to go, was the best possible poetic ending. Always liked Hurts. Even before he had a chance to show his character under adversity by not slinking away after losing the starting job, he seemed like a really good kid.

Just watched him on the set of SEC Now. Remarkable young man.
