Not because you have a this great baseball program because, like us, you're a tier or two down from the top dogs.
You started out in the lowest of lows by losing to an instate rival and firing your coach a week or so into the season. The season itself was nothing to write home about. Lots of bad losses, but also some big wins. Once postseason began, nothing else before it mattered.
You went from losing in an embarrassing fashion to OU to walking it off vs FSU in FSU and then getting revenge on OU by beating them twice. Now you have had 3 epic games vs a conference foe and will be heading to Omaha. This roller coaster ride of a postseason has to feel awesome. This is what makes sports special IMO. I hope yall are enjoying the experience and appreciate this run.

I thought this team would win 5-6 SEC games. Total.

To be fair, USM had their sights set on MSU the entire offseason. State beat them in a hard fought Hattiesburg regional last year. They absolutely could not wait to get MSU back this year. And, they're a dang good baseball team

I can't give state props? Its not just that they got there, its how they did it. They could have won more easily like say OSU and it would have been great, but there is something about having those walk off and crazy moments that make it more special.

Guys from D1, Perfect Game, BA, even Stanford Steve from SVP, have said this may be the best Super Regional they have ever seen. No shame in enjoying it

I'm glad that State is on the other side of the bracket.
Thats the one team that is absolutely rolling right now that I would not want to play.
