That doesn't exist. This isn't baseball or basketball. They don't name two separate conference champions. he finished with the best record in the ACC at the end of the regular season. It's still a good accomplishment but it's not a conference title either.

I didn't say he was allowed to play. I said he didn't win the ACC, just played in the ACC title game, which is a true statement. Saying Notre Dame won the ACC in 2020 is not a true statement because Clemson won the ACC in 2020.

The Big East from 2006-2009. He won 2 Big East titles in 2008 and 2009. They were an AQ conference with BCS.
He was also in the ACC last year

Brian has two Nattys in Div 2. I realize that isn't as glamorous as DIV 1 but Div 2 is just as competitive as Div 1. Most of the Div 2 players are playing with a chip on their shoulder.
If you haven't read his Wiki History/record you should take a look. He is more than capable of winning a Natty at LSU. I'd hire him over the last two LSU coaches that won a natty.

Let me ask you a question SOG. Do you think if Kelly has the same four years Jimbo has had, LSU will keep him (much less extend him). I don't disagree at all the hires are very similar (though again considering the astronomical rise in coaches' salaries the last four years, the dollars for Kelly aren't as out there as they were when Jimbo was hired), I just think the expected results will not be similar in any way.

If this is a poor man’s Jimbo, the real Jimbo must be killing it over the last 5 years since he’s able to recruit the dumbest athletes in America. Without looking, I’m guessing he has 5/5 playoff appearances. No way a guy like Jimbo wins a title 8 years ago and then coasts to multiple 3-4 loss seasons. No team in the SEC would pay nearly 10 million a year for that.
