and bringing back Milton plus 5 other starters on offense and 6 or 7 back on defense, where would you rank them coming into next season?

There is a playoff now. The "MNC" died with the BCS era.

Sorry for your loss.

Doesn't Alabama usually start the year off at #1 after they win a National Championship? Why should UCF be any different?

Notre Dame is clearly better than Hot Dog Water

Not in the preseason. Hot Dog Water and USC have over 30 preseason national championships each.

I’m impressed with what you’ve accomplished in a short time.

#1. UCF will show why they were the legitimate champions this year by following up with two more undefeated seasons and major bowl wins, in which case they will be the very first team in college football history to claim three straight national championships.

The rest of us will just play for that silly trophy.

Are you questioning the dynasty that is Preseason Notre Dame?

Every claimed national championship from pre-BCS and Pre-CFB Playoff had at least ONE outlet (AP, Coaches, etc) that named that team national champion. Other than UCF naming it themselves, who has given them the national title?

Also, once we got to the playoffs, you can drop the M from the MNC.

The Prince George Journal, a sitting governor, very likely the Wolfe rating, etc.

We're also technically not done with the season. We still have two teams playing for second place.

Hopefully a few more of these organizations will do the right thing.

Nope. 2017 certainly shows that we still get a mythical champion.
