We probably should have known this LSU football team was destined for greatness last August with the explosive revelation that an LSU booster named John Paul Funes had pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $800,000 dollars from a hospital charitable foundation, including gift cards meant for cancer patients.
Among the reasons Funes got caught? He had directed $180,000 of the foundation’s money to the father of Vadal Alexander, an LSU offensive lineman at the time, as part of a scheme to make it appear as though the father was working for the foundation. He had also flown friends and family to LSU games on the foundation's dime, trips that were logged as "outbound patient transports.”

That'd be hot.
Alas, that image simply lives in your head/on your hard drive.
His shoulders are yummy.

Does this mean Saban gets a lifetime ban?

Hardly none of the previous coaches nor players are still on staff, and even if there was, there’s absolutely no proof whatsoever that LSU, or even Vadal knew about it.
But they can feel free to steal those crappy bowl losses from us.

Only Dan Wolken and Mississippi (and apparently Aggy) fans are dumb/shamless enough to try to "make hay" out of what JPF did. He apparently targeted former players' families with some kind of money laundering scheme, he was reported when irregularities were discovered and now he's in jail. Sports journalists really are the scum of the earth

On Monday, the Tigers he loved so much he almost certainly broke NCAA rules to help will play Clemson for the national championship. Hey, if you’re not cheating, you’re not trying.
Wolken is lucky LSU didnt raise hell about this paragraph.

Or that he insinuates that last season's success was due to Funes' criminal scheme from 2014 or so. What a shamless dumbfrick
