I thought I would look at how he did at UCF

first year with mostly Scott frosts player, and a year after winning of the national championship: 12-1 won conference championship

Second year after implementing his offense and getting his players in: 10-3 still a good year; however, his team finished 2nd in the East of the AAC.

Third year where he couldn’t live off frost’s played anymore: 6-4.... yikes. He finished 4th in the East of the AAC.

Good luck with all of that tennessee.

I know a source inside that said all the UCF players can’t stand him which is why many left.

character assessment:

gifted a job as an SEC OC from an old friend

left him for UCF HC job before his friends first bowl game as a HC - ruined that teams chances

frick him

He sucks, and I mean sucks bad. He has no redeemable qualities whatsoever.

If he were a good coach being a dry as a fart prick wouldn’t matter, but he’s not.

This would be such a massive frickup for Tenner, but what’s new of course.

Trash hire. Hopefully it’s not true. Why would we pay this fricker 1.8 million to bring his shite coach from UCF? Hire Chadwell and be done with this.

There’s no point in making this hiring. Roll with Steele for a year and reset.

He absolutely is. Monotone, no personality frick who thinks he’s way better than he actually is.

No way Tennessee does this, right?

First time following UT coaching searches? Paying a $2.5 million buyout for an AD, giving that AD a $1.8 million salary, only to have that AD turn around and hire his friend is the most UT thing ever.

Bill Clark man. Sexy? No, but he’d absolutely lay a solid foundation and culture while navigating through this current mess. Then, if need be you are in a MUCH better position to make the next hire. That’s worse case. Best case he gets through this and is a long term answer.

I believe he would absolutely take the job also.

Yeesh. If Frost can't turn it around at Nebraska I have little reason to believe Heupel will do any better.
