This is kind of how I've been approaching the off season talk over on Tiger Rant. At this point, there really isn't a whole lot to say about football. Everything has been set up and all moves have been made. Either your team will win or it won't. Might as well have some fun with shite on the board.

You'd be surprised how many kids from Georgia end up going to State because they couldn't get in at any other SEC school. Its either Georgia Southern, State, or Ole Miss (wealthy Atlanta kids) for a pretty substantial number of kids, and their delusions of grandeur developed during their time as UGA fans follows them to Starkville.

The record reflects the 19 victories and 2 ties that the NCAA made us forfeit from 1975-1977 because a football player got the same % clothing discount at a local store that was available to all students.

It ranks up there at the top of the many worst things that the NCAA has done over the decades.

I'm from Alabama. Went to State cause Auburn and Alabama would've been more expensive with all the incentives State gave me.

We've been attracting a lot more Nashville and Atlanta kids recently surprisingly. But the admissions has done a complete campaign to sell State and I'll commend them.

States got some pretty strong programs that I'm proud about. But as far as winning goes most State fans say "you don't go to MSU to win Football Games". We'd always joke that would be like Alabama.

State fans have to get their fun in now

I'd love to see the NCAA go away as a governing body for collegiate athletics
