Who does LSU have at running back to run the wishbone in 2018? Also, Jalen Hurts is looking for a new team. He is a runner.

Can you imagine if they did come out in a wishbone or a T-formation? Man, DC's would be scratching their heads......

Back in the 70s or 80s, D-line weren't as big or fast as they are today. D-line are 300 lbs and still run 4.7 speed

No they wouldn't.
It's called a Wide Tackle 6 or a 53 Defense.
Play responsibilities.....dive, QB, pitch.
Not rocket science.

Always wondered why some teams don’t run this on the goal line at times.

Yet, the option still has success today. I imagine any old school offense that sees the light of day today would be modified, and instead of a Wing, it would be more of a rolling T-Wing style. For kids that aren't used to playing against it, it can be a bit frustrating.
