Will you attend a game given the chance?

I don't think I'm going to be going to any games regardless this year. The thought of sitting in the stadium for hours with a face mask is not appealing. You?

If given the chance? Absolutely. They should be pretty cheap.

I think the opposite. If stadiums lower attendance capacity, that would kill the university's ability to supply. Tickets are an inelastic product, so if you lower supply and keep the same demand then prices would jump.

Not while its still hot. When it cools down, that wouldn't be so terrible.

Yeah but a big chunk of the demand will not be there. How many season ticket holders are 50+ and will choose to stay home? How many are people who think leaving the house means you die? A lot less demand than normal.

It only has to be a face covering. A clear polyurethane face shield qualifies, and you can breathe with it on. That’s what I’ve been wearing when I have to go to places that require face coverings, and nobody has said a word, other than “you’ve got this figured out.”

Very few. If given the opportunity they'd still go, especially if they live locally. Football season and holidays is all a lot of them have to look forward to.

The Swamp at noon or 3:30 with a mask..no chance. To hot.

Night game I'm down though.

If mask can come off in my seat I'll go to them though

Will depend on ticket prices for sure. Not going to pay out the arse to go and have to sit with a mask on and sweat my arse off. No word on whether we're having tailgating, I assume since Tennessee already nixed it we're going to follow suit.

Right now my answer is probably no, because of the hassle, not because of any covid fear bs. We'll see how the first few games go for the folks who do go. Honestly I wouldnt mind just saving the money I normally would spend going to games each season.

I was usually good for two games a year sharing tickets with a family friend. Don't think either of us will be going this year unless Beth is calling the game on TV.

Just depends on whether or not I get booted into the upper deck, how much I have to pay for the ticket etc. Not too excited about keeping my current seats for this year and the same cost with non-conference games dropped and Vandy added to the home schedule, especially if it requires moving to a less desirable seating location. Now would I pay $20 or so to go for specifically selected games, yes I’d do that.

Just talked to may dad about it today. I think we're going to opt out. I don't think I'll go to a live sporting event for the rest of 2020.

Will demand be the same?

I think some people who usually go to every game will opt out.

Also some people who go to a game each year will opt out.

I’m not sure people will pay more for this season.

Especially after the second loss for each school.
