Will the TSIO ever return to home jerseys for both teams?

Supposedly Tenerse has tried to get it but Bama has resisted. It just looks cool

Didn't they do it recently? Maybe it was just talked about.

It's cool to see how similar those old unis were. Also confirms my thoughts that Tennessee's colors are

last time they did it was 1970. Kiffin tried to do it in 2009.

I’d love to see it happen again at least once. But one of my favorite uniform matchups is VOLS icy road whites vs Bama’s home crimsons

This needs to happen. It's the perfect portrayal of both Fall and football. I honestly don't know a fan of either team that doesn't want this to happen again.

You're probably thinking of UGA and UF. They did it a few years ago for Cocktail Party and it looked great. Vols and Bammers have talked about it but for some reason our Admins haven't done anything with it.

The less orange that Tennessee gets to wear, the better.

Supposedly Bill Battle or Mal Moore nixed it. Shame

If Germy cannot get it done during his tenure I don't see it ever happening again.

Had to be Moore. Battle was responsible for the infamous protest jersey when he coached here and the NCAA said we could no longer both wear home jerseys. THAT jersey was/is ugly as sin but it was the legal amount of orange he could get away with while still complying with the rules.

I think the NCAA passed rules explicitly forbidding this.

Right about the time they passed the rule about names vs slogans on the backs of jerseys

They did many years ago. Recently, they've allowed it but both teams have to agree.

Have an upvote. I'd give two if I could -- one for bringing back home jerseys on both teams and another for the pic of Namath.
