I just not sure they will but they should. I get UT has high RPI but the .500 league thing could keep them out

I think you only need to be .500 overall. Or do you have to be .500 in conference play as well? If so, that is BS. Not Tenn fault they don’t play in the Sun Belt or some other shite conference like the B10.

They showed a stat yesterday something like 38 out of 39 SEC teams have gotten in when they had an RPI under 30

I think we'll be fine as long as we don't implode

B1G will most likely get 3 teams in so it’s not “shite” as you like to claim. I’m still trying to figure out how 5 MVC teams are in contention as well.

But no there’s no rule it’s just way committee has gone you need to be .500 to get in

They have to beat MU today I think to have a legit shot. Not sure they can win SECT

OU being in is strange also but they have 30 wins

I have seen OU a bunch and they always seem to lose when I see them.

The 2 best teams right now are probably UCLA Texas Tech

Vandy and Arkansas are 3/4 however you want to list them. I think Vandy is ahead by their series win.

I agree today is a must win but the consensus among most professionals is 14 wins and we’re most likely in

Remember the year Ole Miss went from 1 in country to missing SECT and NCAAT by getting swept twice last 2 series

Thats why I am not sure what to think of UT

Even if they’re not above .500? If not, they won’t I believe. They should but don’t think they will.

#2 SOS
#9 RPI Currently
32-15 Currently

Hell before the Arkansas Series Kendall Rodgers said if we get above .500 we could possibly host so I really don't see us getting left out

Even if swept by UF and Ole Miss?

I don’t think Ole Miss will sweep them since in Knoxville

Florida is the team that should worry. I think Mizzou and Tennessee are gonna be in.

Well no but I would consider that complete implosion which I already stated above would keep us out

Any SEC team with a .500 league mark will get in. No SEC team has been left out with a .500 league mark.

Tennessee can likely get in with 14 league wins. RPI is too strong.

no it won't. If they win 13 games in the conference and maintain a top 15 RPI (which is pretty likely if they get to 13 wins in the SEC) then they are a lock. Teams make it every year with sub .500 SEC records. 13-17 is when it becomes borderline (almost all 14-16 teams have gotten in). Obviously RPI comes into play, but Tennessee has a really really good RPI despite their SEC record hovering around .500

Isn’t playing in the post season.

9 SEC wins now? No way they win 4 more league games and may get swept today. If they get swept, they’d have win at least 5 of their final 6 SEC games.

It's a little off from that. LSU in 2011 and Kentucky last year both had RPIs of 25 or better and got left out. I know there are a couple more but can't think of them off the top of my head. But yes, generally speaking, a 30 RPI will get you in.

I wish I could find the graph that was posted last year. It showed how teams fared based on SEC records and whether they made the tournament, got a host, top 8 seed, etc. over the past 10 years or so.

agreed, if they get swept by UGA, they'll be 9-15 in the SEC with a road series at Missouri and home series against UT left to play. Unless they win both of those series, they're done. Thus far, they've only won 2 of their 8 SEC series, one to last place USC and another to 13th place Alabama. The only thing on their resume that looks good is a series win against #11 RPI Miami early in the season. Going to be crazy not seeing FSU or Florida in the NCAAT this year. FSU is about to miss the NCAAT for the first time since 1974. Hate to see Mike Martin go out like this, with this being his last year.

if Tennessee finishes .500 or better in the conference, they very well could possibly host a regional with their RPI
