Will the imperialism map start over at the beginning of next season?

Or will it be a continuous thing through multiple seasons?

Can we just hope it goes away completely?

Well, one team will own the entire map, so yeah, it will have to start over.

Not how that works at all...
But the map would likely start over if I had to guess.

Honestly I do not understand that map. Could someone dumb it down and explain it to me? I know there are few undefeated teams but they don't seem to have much land on the map. Just kind of confuses me.

Probably not actually.

Then explain how it works

It’s broken down by county. Closest school to that county initially got that county. From there, if a team beats you, they get whatever land you own. But some teams might not own land because they lost the week before or something. Therefore you can be undefeated and not have much land if teams you beat don’t have land when you beat them

For example, Texas has a lot of land right now. Let’s say they go undefeated for the rest of the year. They won’t play in any championships or anything so teams like Wisconsin, Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Clemson would have no way to obtain that land.
Being national champion will not mean owning all the land

Any bowl game against a team presently possessing land would be a battle for land. Essentially, the only hypothetical scenario where the national champion would have all (or close to all) land would be if we had a true playoff involving all teams. This still excludes teams that are non-FBS that may have taken land (ie. Troy earlier this year). I guess in theory, all of the teams with land could somehow in a hypothetical season lose their land to teams that ultimately end up in the CFP but this is even less likely than us having a 128 team playoff system...

I hope not. Make it continuous like the various CFB belts.

It starts over every year. Now for anymore questions regarding the imperialism map, contact CNB. He has been posting it every week and has the most experience explaining it.

If Bama wins it all this year, We'll going to claim it all by God.

I expected this kind of stupidity from an LSU fan.
