I can see losing 6 maybe 7 games if things go truly badly. If this is the case, will Magic Merlins be on the seat of heat?

If he consistently wins 6-7 games, the only way he leaves is by his choice. Now, if they win 4-5 this year and lose the egg bowl I think Muffin's seat starts to overbake him a little. It would take a couple 4-5 win seasons and consecutive Egg Bowl losses for him to be fired IMO

msu fans appear to be okay with 6-6 seasons, as long as they beat om.

No State is happy with between 5 and 7 wins a year

Only way his seat gets hot is if he misses a bowl game

Even then I don't think his seat gets hot enough to fire him

well, no he wont be fired- by hot, I thought we were talking about 2014

He has 0% chance of being fired this year...7MM buyout and just 1 losing season- no way he would be fired

The home team in the Egg Bowl is 12-2 the last 14 years- home field makes a huge difference in the rivalry. State wont lose to OM this year

Hell, we'll also be bowling for the 4th straight year. Rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated

see this is what I don't get. Previous years have nothing to do with this years game. It does play a factor but definitely not a deciding factor.

He's predicted OM to go 0-8 and lose to them again last year. His predictions aren't exactly stellar.

Coonass obviously forgot that the Ole Miss Rebels were world beaters last year.

If he coaches the team to 7 wins & is competitive with ole miss, he'll be around a while. When he starts dipping to 5-6 wins, losing to ole miss on a regular basis, & misses out on a bowl, he'll be gone.
