As in, at least bowl eligible every year and maybe a run at third to fifth place in the big 12? I think he is going to struggle for a year or two to change the mentality of the program to a culture of winning. He will probably get some Louisiana kids that LSU didn't want and lots of those type players are still really good. Let's see what kind of staff he puts together and we are all Jayhawk fans now sans Missouri fans.

I think he will and I’m excited to have him back in college football. This is definitely his last stop, so maybe he goes in with that mentality and let’s things fly offensively while recruiting like we know he can? Who knows. I wish him luck and want him back at LSU in an ambassador type role when he is finished coaching.

In three years, Kansas will have a better football program than Missouri.

Succeeding at Kansas is above .500 with an occasional upset here n there. I think Les will do ok, glad to see him back in CFB.

I believe so. I'm happy for him. He has much more class than we showed in the way that we terminated him.

Probably not.

It all depends on how well he can recruit. If he can land a bunch of the 3*’s in Louisiana and Texas that LSU, A&M and UT pass on then he may be able to win some games.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he has them as a 7-5 / 8-4 team in 3-4 years

Yep. He’ll be able to coach forever with no real pressure and will get the program more exposure for eating grass and saying funny shite than it’s ever had before.

Love me some Les Miles. As a State alum/fan, he was easily my favorite coach in the SEC outside of ours. He is a consummate players coach who believes and trust his players. He will be successful at Kansas although it will take some time.
He is good for CFB. I will be a Kansas fan now.

One other thing , I know he is 65 but he seems much younger than that so I think he can coach a number of years.

Success for Les means leaving Kansas as soon as possible for a real football program.

Kansas is already getting some skill position kids that LSU doesn't prioritize with Tony Hull there. I think Les can bring in some linemen, which is what KU is really lacking. I expect him to improve that program pretty quickly. How much it improves is anyone's guess.

He will be Bowl eligible with no ncaa problems. He will help build men of good character. I was able to speak to him for a few minutes several years ago for a couple and was impressed. He is a good coach but a better man. I would be proud for my son to play for a team he coached.

Turned around OSU when they were like Kansas. He will win with defense and a running game. That philosophy will kill the big 12 since he basically will control the ball 40 plus minutes a game

I think he will make them relevant the way Snyder has done at Kansas state. They’ll upset someone occasionally and they’ll play hard nosed tough football. Every few years they might sneak into the fiesta bowl or something. If he can get them to 6 wins his first year, the fan base should bow down to him.
