I am skeptical, and it will probably depend on what type of season he has this year, and how much he progresses as a passer inside the pocket.
IMO, I think he will likely get a lower draft grade than he is shooting for and return for his JR season. However, I think it would be wise for him to leave early if the opportunity is there, for obvious reasons.
What say you?

He will come back down to earth this season. That being said he will stay to try to redeem himself the following year.

Chip Kelly is probably drooling at the thought of him playing for the Philly Eagles. After Russell Wilson's success, Johnny Manziel's height shouldn't ultimately end up being a fault against him.

I could be wrong but I think A&M posters said they lose 3 or 4 OL next year. That on top of him taking all bullshite online classes and my guess is this will be his last hoorah.

Very good point. I am not sure about their depth.

We will lose 1 starting offense lineman...the depth is pretty solid

He gone.
He will be a first round pick most likely, and he seems to already enjoy the celeb life. May as well go ahead and take school out of the equation to make everything else easier.

He will not get drafted super high but my sources tell me he will still probably go pro because the Proactive contract will be huge.

Depends, is Romo still in the Cowboys?

The passing ability of Wilson vs. Manziel is like night and day.

Most of us in aggieland expect this to be his last year.
I'm honestly confused about the Russel Wilson night and day comment. Johnny put up better passing numbers last year against better competition than wilson ever did in college. And if you look at the second half of the year once he figured things out it isn't really close. Maybe that is what you meant by night and day?

A&M- where we supposedly lose 80% of our O Line every year. I guess I can look forward to hearing this again all year

No, the Cowgirls owner is still in Romo.

That is true for every quarterback, but as a 19 year old, he was the best player in the country. It isn't like he is Tebow throwing some incredibly ugly and inaccurate ball... did you see Texas A&M vs Alabama? He torched them with his arm.

He's too cocky to accept a relatively low draft grade from every team and then not think the combine/pro days will win over an NFL team. QBs are the most valued commodity in the NFL. If Russell Wilson has a great year, I mean doesn't take a cry-baby-Cam-Newton-like step backwards, teams will want what Johnny Manziel is selling. Meaning, you know what you're getting with Manziel. It all depends if the demand for his style picks up. That is the biggest factor.

He isn't going to get much better in college. He is what he is. Take the money while you can.

I say he's going to win the national title this year, and be the number 1 pick in the NFL Draft in 2014.
