@CoachGusMalzahn Yeah your wife is surely enjoying that Cammy Can Juice too too!
He does bring up an interesting point, Cam comes back to get his degree when Kristi gets reestablished in Auburn.
Seriously though, this Will Gilbert guy is obviously a butthurt hack, and congrats to Cam for going back to school to get a degree

You gotta feel sorry for Arky. They paid a crap load of money for what is, let's face it, legacy coach, i.e. a guy that Alvarez picked to do exactly what he wanted to do with the program. They should have just hired Alvarez and saved themselves a few million per.

I'm not saying he can't coach. I'm just saying historically when you have a highly successful HC who graduates to AD, the new HC has a much easier time of it, i.e. the new guy gets handed all the recruiting contacts, game plans, scouting, strength and conditioning, etc. Furthermore, because the old coach is so respected and is basically a legend, he can walk into any recruiting scenario with a de facto endorsement that carries a lot of weight in high school circles. The coach doesn't actually have to go out and build new relationships and build the program from the ground up.

I think we can eliminate Hawgalude, pioneerbasketball, and trillhog. I have no doubt he posts on every msg board known to man.

This is what he's been writing today. Who is this guy? Any of you in Arkansas read him? If so, what is his sudden problem with Malzahn?
Dude has now deleted the offending tweets.
He is now saying it's a personal Twitter account though he says his "jokes" were in poor taste.

If Gus Malzahn's name was Bobby Petrino what would ESPN have done after he bolted ASU despite his "loyalty" to Arkansas

Recruiting at Wisconsin isn't like at Auburn or Alabama, 4 and 5 star recruits aren't at your beck and call. you have to go out and find hidden gems and develop talent, that's not something you're handed.

4 and 5 star recruits are exactly at Auburn's and Arkansas's "beck and call" either. I'm not sure about Arkansas, but Auburn has had quite a few 4 and 5 stars decommit from this class. Auburn can certainly get them, but they aren't simply there for the taking.

i semi agree with this one. gus could slice and eat baby's livers on live tv and people would smile and think 'oh how charming'...i'll never understand it.

You can't possibly be equating how Malzahn left Arkansas State and how Petrino left Arkansas. Are you?
Posted on 1/15/13 at 3:28 pm to wdeinttown
no, that's why i said 'semi agree'- my point is that gus always comes out smelling like a rose no matter what. it had nothing to do with the petrino part.
btw- i think you missed your 'not' or ''nt' in your post a few up...
