Will Costello throw for 6000 yards under the wicked genius Mike Leach.

I'm thinking Nicky, The Ogre and Lame Train are soiling their Drawers thinking what these two will do to their defenses. What say the Baws.

The black-eyed ginger human helicopter might be better

Your QB might throw for 6000 yards but your team will be 6-7

Well, you can look at his numbers to have a better guess.
He was injured last year, so look at 2018. Take the completion %, and use the amount of passes attempted by a Leach offense. Multiply the results by the average yards per completed pass.
So roughly 475 passes completed at his current %. Leach normally improves that, but let's just assume its the same.
That's above 4000 yards.

And Auburn will be 1 of the 6 that they beat

Mike’s Air Raid, with the right players, is really more balanced run-pass. Costello could throw for 4,000, but if he has a 1,000 yard RB, the stats could change. His teams will always be more pass oriented, but a D cannot overlook the run game.
In 18 years as a HC, Leach led teams have averaged 35 points a game; he missed that number seven times.

I say State fans will never be happier than they are in this moment. It’s been a pleasure to watch.

What? When has he had a 1,000 yard rusher last?

He didn’t get injured until the 5th game and there were already rumblings about his job security by that point

No because when they have 20 second 3 and outs, his defense won’t be able to stop anyone in the 4th quarter when it matters. Those wide splits are asking for trouble with the speed of the SEC d lines.
It will be an interesting case study.

You're a fool if you don't think Mike Leach is able of adapting his offense.

You think Mike Leach is going to go away from a key philosophy of his offense?

Who is Costello?
I went to High School with a Joey Costello. That dude ain't throwing for 6000 yards, on account of the crippling meth addiction

Couldn’t be further from the truth.
Pass attempts to rush attempts for Leach’s teams:
2019: 710 to 210
2018: 677 to 281
2017: 713 to 303
2016: 664 to 362
2015: 738 to 294
2014: 771 to 243
I could go on and on. Leach throws it 2/3 of the time, on average.
Y u a lie, bro?

MOAR LIES
Wazzou didn’t rush for 1000 yards as a team in 2019 and 2017. They only got to 1010 yards as a team in 2018. shite, they had 478 yards as a team in 2014.

A&M fans encountered Leach in his prime, and you can't overstate just how much magic he conjured out in crappy old Lubbock. He took 2 stars and re-treads and turned them into NCAA passing leaders year after year.
Sonny Cumbie turned down offers from Tarleton State and West Texas A&M to walk on at Tech. He threw for nearly 5,000 yards.
Mediocre prospects like Graham Harrell and BJ Symons churned out huge numbers. Harrell still owns a bunch of NCAA records.
I fully expect someone to produce huge numbers under him. He tends to run off earlier players.
