After 2 consecutive seasons losing to State and Texas A&M, will Coach O make it out alive or will LSU go after a first time head coach?

3 losses and he’s in trouble. Doesn’t matter who he loses to. 4 and he’s probably gone.

Are you sure you want Orgeron to be fired?

A very talented roster combined with a very average head coach is a strangely difficult outcome to predict, especially in this division.

We have two new coordinators on top of that. I don’t think anyone knows wtf to think about LSU this year.

Sounds like you're coming after their head coach, again?

i would take this if it meant beating Bama and Florida. Have you seen the win/loss records against those 2 teams? states won 3 in the last like 20-something and it took A&M 8 years and 7 overtimes along with a covid year just to snag 2 from us. This whole board went on and on about tDecline and hiring a shrimp boat captain etc etc, then we skull dragged all of you on the way to a natty. even in the down years we still smash most of yall.
we aint goin nowhere, doesnt matter who the coach is.

LSU would never hire leach because they would never risk losing their beautiful Louisiana recruiting hot bed. That will always be their number one focus.

State wont beat LSU this year but I can see them losing 3-4 games this year.
Leach wont make it in the SEC.
Odom exposed that guy

This might be the dumbest thing ever posted by any fan of any college football program.
Every juggernaut program in CFB is always one poor coaching hire away from decades of irrelevance.

This is true.
Makes it kind of ironic that O has singlehandedly had more success than all 34 of State's coaches in their 125 year history, combined.

Name the last 3 coaches to win Nattys at LSU and the time frame they did it in.
Then explain to me as an LSU fan why i should feel worried about who our next head coach will be.

You’re actually trolling yourself with this.

Ed has a shitepot full of talent behind him. I look for them to rebound this year and 2022 should see the same.
The talent level in the LA will keep him on the job. Now he needs to improve in other areas for sure. Ed might have to get him a personal aid to assist.

We think that because we have seen elite programs like Tenn and Nebraska fall on hard times, but really almost every program that has slid into irrelevance had warning signs prior to whatever coaching shift sealed the deal. In reality some program are entrenched in both geography and quality local talent, and its very hard for those programs to fall off completely: LSU, tOSU and OU are good examples. Heck look at even USCw, Clay Helton is a terrible coach and he has won the Pac 12 South twice because its a job you almost can't frick up. The next coach there will kill it.
The real risk to a LSU or OU isn't their programs falling off, its the sport falling off. If too many people tune out because of the lack of amateurism or because the future playoffs get too regionally dominated then the prestige tied to being a successful football program will drop as well. If playoff expansion in a few years means winning a national title is watered down than the value of programs that can win it under the current rules drops.
