Will Bama fans begin questioning Saban if they don't win a title this year?

I think we all agree that UGA is the team to beat this year. If Bama doesn't win the title that will mean that during the last 5 year period, Alabama has only one national title(during a COVID year as well). His first 5 years he had two titles and the next he had three titles.
Father time is undefeated so if Saban doesn't win a title this year or the next, when do bama fans start turning on him?

So are we questioning him or turning on him?
I've personally questioned a ton of his decisions over the last 16 years.
Doesn't mean I'm ready to run him off.

This really is a justified concern.
Alabama’s only title in the last 4 seasons was a watered down COVID title so pretty much none since 2017-2018.

Honestly that shouldn’t even count

Dumbest question ever.

Excluding the COVID year
2018 - 14-1 (8-0) (SEC Champions) (National Runners Up)
2019 - 11-2 (6-2) (#8)
2021 - 13-2 (7-1) (SEC Champions) (National Runners Up)
2022 - 3-0 (currently ranked #2)
41-5 (21-3)
What you are basically saying is "Will you be ok becoming #2 to Georgia over the next 5 years?". I'd prefer not to. I'd hope that even if we do we still get a few wins in there and steal a title. But I'm absolutely not going to burn the house down and throw a hissy fit because we are "only" a perennial top 3 program.
No, I think I'll be ok with him if he only wins 50% of SEC Titles and goes to 75% of playoffs without a national title the next 4-5 years. I'll probably bitch some, but I also know that winning at that clip is not the norm.

Playing only Power 5 teams is a watered down season?
Do you think playing UT-Chattanooga and Utah State would have made that season more impressive?

I get tired of the retirement question. But I do think it’s interesting to ponder what would happen if he went 8-4 in back-to-back seasons. Very unlikely, I know, but…. That would initiate some fascinating conversations between fans, boosters and the administration. He’d never voluntarily walk away at that point. Sooo?

I think if he went 8-4 in consecutive seasons, recruiting slipped to say barely Top 10-15 (clearly down from before), etc........he'd look up and realize he wasn't effective anymore and retire.
I really don't think he's gonna just hang out if he clearly can't compete at the level he feels is required anymore.

Meh. Empty stadiums, rosters barely fielding teams.
Whole season was just to appease football fans in depressing times.

Not really, but I'm glad that's what everyone thinks.

Did you ban yourself for questioning him?

After three games? Nope. Alabama has the players. They came back from last years team and still has the best coach in the country.
Alabama is definitely the favorite and three games does not change that. If Alabama does not win the title they will look hard and long at their coaches and players. I suspect Saban will do a complete overhaul of the way they do things.

Auburn would have already fired him…

Most Arkansas fans would kill their grandmother for that title. But carry on...lol
