Will one of our own jump on the lane train, and will he be willing to go?
If so, which one?

He most definitely be on the short list to replace O when the time comes. (Which may be after this season)

(Along with Aranda, Fleck, Patterson and Norval)

It's my personal opinion that we offered him and he declined.

I do think if our spot opened up next year he might would have taken it though.*

Richt will retire in a couple years and Kiffin will move down the road to Coral Gables. He will wreck shop down there. The amount of poon he'll get will defy any logic currently known to man.

Richt has done wonders to get Miami back to respectability. And, he's setting the table nicely for Lane.

If Lane gets a good recruiting coordinator and an aggressive, smart D coord - he will be in the Top 5 continuously.

I hope not. He signed a 10 year deal at FAU. After seeing what he did in year one I’m anxious to see how he does this year. I think he’s happy with where he’s at, low expectations, yet still a hero. He’s in a position to start landing transfers looking for a chance to win. I could see him using CUSA to build FAU into a perineal top 25 program.

I think he's finally matured. That was his only issue but the guy knows football. Nobody can deny that. He's going to go somewhere within 2 years, you can bank on that.

And I'd bet his buyout clause is low. I haven't checked though.

I think someone posted a story here a few days ago that Lane's buyout is only $2mill.

He. Is. Gone.

Patterson's not leaving TCU. On the fence with Fleck and Norval. Pass on Kiffin.

Give me either Matt Campbell from Iowa St. Or Aranda.

But ANY of these choices, along with 60 others would all be far better than Orgeron.

You might as well keep Orgeron

Why? He'd be extremely dangerous at LSU.

LSU is stuck with Coach O. The state is too poor to pull the trigger. If they don't catch him with a dead girl or a live boy, he's there for the duration.

You must be really young and don’t know how it works. LSU Athletics is solid. You listen to our idiot president belly ache about money because he is a crooked arse scumbag trying to strongarm the governor and the state and assume that everyone is eating bologna sandwiches. LSU just approved raises for several coaches in the LSU Athletics department, and some as high as 48%. Someone just posted on this board earlier this week a list of all the universities revenue and LSU was 5th on that list .

You have no way of knowing this. Plus, no one knows if Aranda is HC material and I doubt LSU would promote another assistant. Fleck didn't set the world on fire at Minnesota last year and is risky hire. Patterson isn't leaving TCU. Norvell may be a possibility.

I don't think Kiffin has matured much at all but I think he would win. An administration would have to weigh his potential versus the inevitable questionable behavior. (KIffin is who he is. He isn't changing this late in life).

Would they do this after the Beav did what he did? Do they want another man-whore? At least Lane wouldn't have to pay for poon though. His brother was also involved in the probation scandal. The reason I bring these things up is because I can really see Ole Miss hiring Kiffin after Luke runs them in the ground for two years.
