To be fair, sometimes it’s IN the Mississippi.

You're going to have to point me to the game when USC played Ohio State in the snow.

Being that LSU is on the Eastern side, I'd still say that yes, eventually the odds will favor OU/Texass/8&4feit/Arkansas or possibly USC (though I don't think it will happen under Riley) to win one.

Quite honestly, I can't. All the early meetings in Columbus were played in early-to-mid October and I doubt any of those were played in snow.
I was just sayin'....as usual.............................
WE'RE GONNA BEAT YOUR BUCKS BEHINDS!!! WE OWN Y'ALL!!

The bigger question is will a program located north of the Mason Dixon, especially one not named Ohio State.
The entire area north of the Mason Dixon and west of the Mississippi is chock full of pretenders.

it's understandable that OU fans despise Riley now, but USC with Riley is going to win more games and probably titles than OU with Venables.

Isn't the campus of LSU located west of the Mississippi?

Let me help you. LSU is west of the Mississippi River. The OP did not think this through very well. Louisiana is techinically also considered west of the Mississippi River.

Actually, let me help you.
LSU is basically located on the east bank of the Mississippi River.

Pretty sure it isn't. I was born in Baton Rouge and worked there as an adult at the BTR Airport. My grandfather and uncle worked for Kaiser Aluminum on the banks fo the Mississipp and I am sure LSU is definitely west of the Mississippi River.

USC has beaten Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan in the snow...it'll have no problem doing the same to Iowa. I predict USC to win the national title within 5 years. In all honesty. With true humility. Get ready for a revived Trojan Empire!
There’s only one other team that gets more undeserved hype in the entire country and that is Texas. USC will not win a championship while Bama, UGA, and Ohio State are currently operating where they are right now.

There is a river studies section that is on the east bank....but unless they start playing football....

My bad. Apparently I am turned around. LSU is indeed located on the east side. My apologies.

Lsu and tiger stadium are situated on a plateau on the east side of the Mississippi River.

No, I was actually going by when we would visit my grandmother. We always crossed back over the Mississipi Bridge going east to Georgia. I wasn't counting on the river snaking back around. My bad and my apologies.
My grandmother lived in a area that went pretty bad. (Back when we visited it was a decent place to live. She used to call it "The Village" because back when Kaiser opened their plant a lot of the workers build in that neighborhood. Many years later it changed and became known as Scottlandville, I think? Got pretty rough. My grandfather died of Parkinsons disease back in the 70s and she refused to move because they had buit their house there together. To their credit her neighbors checked on her every day to make sure she was alright.

I also didn't remember LSU being so close to the Mississippi. I haven't been back to Baton Rouge in 20 years, or so, (Aunts funeral) though so my memory is a little wonky.

Weather across the US is pretty much the same until late November and College football is wrapping up at that point. There are acception like high altitude or freak snow storms but largely college football starts in the 90s and ends in the 40s or 50s.
