Yeah, uga is good, but they are loaded at QB. Why would he want to sit behind Fromm who is only a freshman? He might as well go somewhere where he can start right away

Maybe the kid isn’t scared of competition and has confidence in himself to go beat out Fromm. Lots of respect for the kid.

Maybe he should go to a program that has proven they develop quarterbacks, like LSU.

He could start every year there instead of sitting the bench!

The bigger question is why would he want to be coached by Jim Chaney.

Same reason 5* QB's keep going to Alabama? Whether is continues or not Georgia seems to be going in the right direction. We are his home state school, and the way the SEC East is right now we have a decent shot at playing in the SECCG then next few years. We are signing some top flight OLinemen right now along with a ton of other talented players.
Kirby Smart is an exciting type of coach with a lot of charisma.

Like I said...only time will tell if it plays out, but I think those are the reasons.

Yeah what #1 prospect would want to spend 3-4 years in Athens prior to going pro and making a living playing football?

If he's good enough, he wouldn't need coached up. Uga's head coach is a defense guy too

He said he would not mind red shirting his first year....not that he wants too, but would be willing to.
It appears as if the coaches intend to put in several packages for him taking advantage of his running abilities and getting him some experience. It's really all guess work right now, though.

You haven't had a decent QB since JaMarcus Russell.

He's a georgia kid who wants to play for his home team. Not a pussy kid going out of state to a team that all the other front running pussy kids are going to. Praise him for putting in work.

So, money, cars, jobs for families, and moving expenses?

Cam Newton committed to Florida during Tim Tebow's freshman year. The great ones want to go up against the best and aren't afraid of competition. Besides, Fromm is far from being entrenched as the future UGA QB. The kid's nothing more than a really good game manager at this point in his career. He also might end up being one of those QBs who peak early in their career and never take that next step to being a great QB like Casey Clausen at Tennessee for example.

We also have another top 3 class coming in to complement last year's top 3 class. LSU won't even get a top ten class this year. We are an ascending program. Y'all are on the decline.

You are asking an honest question.....no problem with that, and it is a good point.

I am not trying to sound snarky or anything...honestly. but with Fromm Georgia has shown an ability to develop a QB. Even eason had a comparable year to Matthew Stafford his first year at UGA.

LSU has not developed a QB in quite awhile....even having a comparable talent like Brandon Harris. By comparable I mean a mobile QB. Until Orgeron can prove that he can develop a QB, that might be a problem for LSU for awhile.

However, there will be a QB that will take a shot with LSU because he can start immediately. If he develops well LSU could be on their way.
