Fans who wanted Pods are like peas in a pod and may have a pea brains I am like what going on here? Pods are so messed up with everyone wanted specific teams and that will be a total failure.

Because some of us want to play teams that we never get to play, thanks to Big 12 drama. I'm not waiting nearly a decade to revisit another team's stadium in my own conference. Even though pods aren't the best option, its much better than 2 divisions.

3 Permanent + 6 Rotating > 4 Pods > 2 Divisions

I don’t want OM to play

Texas
TAMU
MIZZO
OU
Arky

Every single year and only play

Bama
Auburn
Tenn
UF
UG
UK
USCe
On a two team rotational basis.

Proper pod setup lets you HOST every team in the conference every 4 years. So much better than hosting UG or UF once a decade.

I believe some form of division (or pods, whatever...) is required to have a conference championship game? Or did they get rid of that stipulation?

That's certainly a claim that some have made but an aggregate system can fix a tie-breaker. My guess is that you would prioritize it like this:

1.) Result of head-to-head matchup.
2.) Record against common opponents.
3.) Point difference between common opponents.
4.) AP or CFP rankings.

And if you go to 10 games you can have 5 permanent + 5 rotating

A lot of LSU fans want it so they don't have to play Alabama every year. Some even admit it.

I hate the pod idea. Play ur 7 division games, rotate 2 from the other division every year. Pretty simple.

The reality is going to be two divisions, they're going to be 8 teams in each division. Because there's eight teams in each division there needs to be 2 cross over games. Therefore, with great certainty, it is a fact, the SEC is going to be playing 9 division games. No need for a permanent cross over rival.

I have a 6 perm + 3 rotating format using the 4x4 pods which keeps ALL must play games on your yearly schedule (regardless of what pods you're in), play everybody once in 3 (full H/A in 6), automatically sorts 8 teams together to determine the SECCG contestant, & DOES NOT need any new tie-breakers to be created!!!

& 4 teams will shoot down 10 conf. games due to their in-state ACC opponent.

Serious question, if everyone got 3 permanent opponents, do you think LSU would be Bama's preferred #3 behind Auburn and Tennessee? We would probably go A&M and Ole Miss, but after that it's really kind of just a matter of who would have us. Would love to have Bama or Florida.

I just don’t want to lose playing Auburn, Bama and Florida every year

Those are usually the best games on our schedule and most entertaining to me

From what I’ve seen pods would allow a 4-5 year college student able to play in every stadium. Where even today we might not play in each stadium within 8 years.
