Why not have Vanderbilt Georgia for Thursday Night Football instead of Texas State?

Yeah you could say "it will be a blowout" or whatever. But Texas State is going to be plus it's an SEC Game and the only one of week 1 that I feel is going to be overlooked by many other Marquee games of week 1.

I guess I just enjoyed the Vanderbilt Ole Miss/ Vanderbilt South Carolina opening games of recent years and feel like the same opportunity could've been done here when it just seems so random that this game is in week 1 in the first place.

Yes this thread is mostly started because I honestly thought prior to this week that this was on Thursday.

Playing on Thursday gives A&N fans a few extra days to enjoy the season - and then Clemson happens.

Hopefully Sankey sees this thread and switches these games around.

Gag Tech. Can’t wait to see the “404”
get their butts kicked all the way back to Atlanta.

Same thing as 305 for the Hurricanes or 911 for the Gators.
The first three digits of the most commonly made phone calls in that particular college area.
