Why Kirby lost the Championship and why he's not a good HC

Kirby is coaching exactly the same way he did as a Coordinator at Alabama. He's in the face of every player coming off the field trying to coach every play. Kirby is not a strategic gameday General executing and revising plans directing and coordinating all of his forces to win a war. He's a Platoon Sergeant focusing all of his energy and mental capacity exclusively on small one-on-one battles leaving the greater war almost completely unattended.
Kirby is not on the sidelines plotting a path to victory. He's wasting all of his time coaching individual players on technique.
Kirby's not a leader. He's a teacher.
Leaders are visionaries. Kirby is not that.

Totally agree. UGA should cut him loose before it gets any worse than it already is. I hear Mike Shula is looking for a Job, that'd be a big step up for the Dawgs.

Exactly, this guy gets it! I don't know what it's going to take for the UGA Administration to finally pull the trigger.

Kirby is a great coach for Georgia. They’re lucky to have him. OP is dumb

Kirby just lead Georgia to by far their most successful season in close to 40 years, in his second year as a head coach.
Georgia also has a top 5 recruiting class inbound for next season.
Cliff Notes: OP is a gigantic stupid phaggot.

What happens when the "visionary" loses all of his teachers?

Your down votes are catching up to your post count. Maybe you should stop while you are ahead.

This thread is ridiculous.
Kirby is in his second year as a HC. Was there some growing pains? Will there still be some growing pains? Without a doubt. If you have ever listened to Saban, he tells stories all the time about lessons learned. Before he got to UA, he had been a head coach about 15 years or so.
I would imagine any new HC would tell you that transitioning over from being a Coordinator takes time. You can't be as in-depth with the players as you have been in the past. I remember Richt talking about the same thing after he took over at UGA.
I think he is a young HC, making young HC mistakes. He is definitely a good HC.

I for one am very glad that Kirby is doing this.
When Mark Richt decided to give up being involved with plays and just being a field General, that is when he became complacent (said so himself after leaving UGA).

The fix was in.
That simple.

I don't care how many downvotes or Alabama homers trash the OP - Kirby is a HC coaching like he's a position coach wasting his time teaching technique in a Championship Game???? He can't spend all his time coaching technique and plan and execute and revise a strategic winning gameplan. Georgia had many chances to win but Kirby wasn't on top of the play calling or personnel packages. Kirby wasn't making quality decisions. Kirby got outcoached and it's going to keep on happening. Kirby was too busy trying to do Mel Tucker's job to pay attention to what Chaney was doing or strategically planning what to do to win the war.
Georgia had a great year and Kirby can recruit but he hasn't proven he's a gameday coach. In fact, he's proven precisely the opposite.

Kirby= Les Miles. As long as the GOAT is at Alabama.

I guess that's a decent attempt of a troll but it's bullshite in the extreme. If winning the SEC, winning the Rose bowl and taking the national championship game to overtime is not the signs of a good coach I don't know what is.
