Why is this raging port-a-jon fire in Knoxville flying under the radar?

In THIS day and age, you have the terrible allegations that came out a few weeks back, dick pics from Crowder, and now the news of Johnson being put in the clink today.

I realize the old Peyton news has been coming up but other than that, not a whole lot on these newer allegations, especially considering the times.

An SEC football program with what seems to be a systemic pattern of sexual abuse and possibly the blind eye being turned by coaches and barely a peep in the media.

Just strange.

Because the vols have been irrelevant for the past 10 years. If they were competitive this would be a bigger deal.

True, true. You can't argue with facts.

Perhaps. But last time I checked Duke lacrosse wasn't exactly relevant when that story gained national headlines.

The Duke story was on another level though. Three players allegedly raping a girl at a party would be big at a HS... actually it was in that Ohio story.

Not at all. We are dealing with a culture that thinks it perfectly normal and acceptable to grab a buddy, hand him a lubed up orange beer funnel and a sixer of Natty Lite, insert orange beer funnel up buddies farthole, pour in sixer of Natty, and repeat process for buddy and self until so arse drunk you need an ambulance.

So tea bagging, grouping, and dick picks is nothing.

Flying under the radar?!?!?! This whole fricking mess has been on national news, not to a mention a new thread being on here every 5 goddamn seconds.

The Ole Miss investigation and pending probation dumpster fire started first.

Exactly. As soon as it came out she was lying it disappeared, but when it initially broke it was everywhere. UT and OM will get their airtime for what is going on and it will go away. OM fans need to just nut up and take on the mindset of "nothing's going to happen" and stick to it. Threads like this only fuel the fire.

How does this "fuel the fire" regarding OM? This thread has zero to do with OM. It has to do with, like I said, it being 2016 and relatively not much coverage of a sexual abuse scandal at a college football program.

Eta: yes - ain't shite gonna happen and all the haters can eat our collective grundle.

Oh, so rustled! I bet you are just hoping for another big scandal to break just to divert attention from Oxford. These Tennessee crimes will probably lead to someone getting fired and 2-3 players kicked out in a time frame of 2 to 3 weeks. The Manning scandal will probably flame out soon and 6 months down the road we will hear both parties settled out of court, low-key. Tennessee will live on.

The Ole Miss NCAA Investigation on the other hand is going to get dragged by the the NCAA (because that's what the NCAA does). While we wait for the conclusion of the investigation, we will continue to get bits of information and leaks in which Ole Miss will get made fun of on tRant. It's going to be a long road for Ole Miss fans before this gets resolved so...

Happy off season Black Bear Rebals!
