This century the SEC has won 12 national championships with 5 different teams. The Big Ten has won two national championships with one team in the same timeframe.

Relevant SEC v Big matchups this century:
1. BCS Natty January 8, 2007 Florida 41 Ohio st 14
2. Jan 7, 2008 BCS natty LSU 38 Ohio st 24
3. CFP semifinal December 31, 2015 Alabama 38 Michigan st 0.
4. CFP Championship January 11, 2021 Alabama 52 Ohio St. 24.
5. CFP semifinal December 31, 2021 Georgia 34 Michigan 11.
All of these games were complete beatdowns. The only time the Big Ten beat the SEC in a meaningful game this century was the first CFP playoff when Ohio st beat Alabama.
And people are migrating out of the Big Ten region, but they still have a substantial population. Here are the top 12 states by population:
1. California 39.5 million
2. Texas 29.1 million
3. Florida 21.5 million
4. New York 20.2 million
5. Pennsylvania 13 million
6. Illinois 12. 8 million
7. Ohio 11. 7 million
8. Georgia 10.7 million
9. North Carolina 10.4 million
10. Michigan 10 million
11. New Jersey 9.2 million
12. Virginia 9.2 million
5 of the top 12 states by population are in Big Ten country. They really have no excuse for sucking so bad. They just have inferior athletes, coaches, leaders, fans, and men.

It is funny to watch Ohio State fans talk shite about the SEC when they’ve lost 3 national championship games to 3 different SEC programs by an average of 20+ points

Are they though? The ACC has been much more successful in the BCS and CFP eras.

Yes they’ve been better than the ACC top to bottom. Put more players in the pros too. ACC usually gets weak quick after their #1 team.

At the end of the day, does it really matter who wins the Gator and Outback bowl?

The answer to this one is easy if you look at these two numbers...

SEC states: 17.59 million

Big 10 states: 11.58 million.

These are euphemistically known as "recruiting bases" these days.

Since 1998, the Big 10 is 222-223 vs SEC and 52-37 vs ACC.

Again, I don’t really care about the #5 Big Ten team taking on the # 7 SEC team in the Gator bowl. We have 12 national championships this century and the Big has 2. The ACC has 3 this century and 4 if you combine the BCS and CFP eras. Although you do make a good point about the NFL draft.

The Big Ten is not bad at football. The SEC is better but no need to demean the B1G conference. They have good teams.
With your attitude, beating them holds no value. I would say that beating B1G teams is a credit to the SEC.
Otherwise there is no point in ever playing any of their teams.
Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Whiskey, Iowa, Minnesota etc. are all quality teams. They are worthy opponents for our teams.

This is funny coming from someone who's ancestors lived off the work of forced laborers. At least the people in the Midwest cleared their own land, plowed their own fields, and built their own homes.
