It’s an hour from the SEC headquarters and in the middle of the SEC footprint.
I would prefer it to be somewhere else but I get it. I vote they move it to Nashville.

HQ of the SEC in B'Ham aside, conspiracies would flourish if the location was on a rotation basis from one school to another - especially from neurotic, kennel-blind LSU fans who have an innate phobia about anything Alabama/Saban. So the location is fixed in Hoover (B'Ham) to avoid favoritism.

Because it ought to be in the SE US and if you are in the SE US you are most likely to find rednecks in abundance...we are eerywhere and breed like fleas. I have worked and lived all over the US and the world and there are rednecks in every country and every culture...the neck of red knows no border, race, creed, national origin or sexual orientation. It is the one common characteristic shared by humans no matter where and who they may be.

Jobs, and how much incentive is there to make a trip on Monday if there's a chance your team is eliminated on Tuesday? This is like an extreme version of Wednesday at the SEC basketball tournament.

Because the MAJORITY of the SEC fans are redneck in some shape or form. Nothing wrong with rednecks. Where do you want to have it, in Southwest Atlanta??
