because arky fans seem to think their bball program belongs in the same world as the UCLAs. kentuckys, north carolinas, etc

Coolest thing was my great grandpa was a die hard Razorback basketball fan.

He listened to our first final four back in the 1940's and was able to see Arkansas win a national title and play for another. He died in 1998, but died happy he did. The night we won in 1994, he told me he could now die a happy man.

because its the truth. every time an arky fan talks about bball, they talk about how great it is. when in reality, minus their early 90s run, they havent been special

Where do you gather that from in this thread?

I'd also like a link to anyone saying that please.

Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, UCLA, Louisville are historically tier 1. Arkansas falls in the next tier with Syracuse, UConn, Okie State, etc.

Again, I think you're lying your arse off right now Aggie.

To be fair, Arkansas fans do run around acting like they're UK's equal in basketball historically. You had a nice ten year run in the 80s-90s with moderate success in the early 80s. 75% of your basketball history is littered with 10-18 win seasons.

We are closer to that level than to A&M's level.

No it's not.

Arkansas didn't even reach a Final Four in the 1980's.

Arkansas started its basketball program about 25-30 years after most major programs as well.

There are about 13 programs in NCAA tourney history who have 40 tourney wins, we are one of those. Our first final four was in the 1940's.

Our program over the course of its history is a 20 win a year program. There aren't many programs who can say that. I would say, probably only around 20-25.

Well, everything's relative. When talking to a Mizzou/A&M fan, yeah I do think our program is superior. You won't see Arkansas fans talking shite to Kentucky about basketball tradition.

Well that's not saying much, but it's probably right in the middle. You've missed the tournament over half the time.

Bottom line Klarvin. You weren't here taking the abuse before the season even started like the more quality A&M posters. You only showed up when there was something to talk shite about because that's all you're good for. Haven't seen a legitimate post yet. Just shite stirring. Gets kind of boring after a while.

Aggy and Mizzou fans, there is no reason for you to run down the Arkansas basketball program to feel better about yourselves, feel good about all the aggy and Mizzou basketball program achievements over the years........wait.

Not my point. My point was outside of the very limited success timeframe, Arkansas hasnt been very successful overall. You've missed over half the tournament that have been played.

We've been invited to the big dance 30 times. Now list other schools with that many invites.

We've won 40 tourney games. List the others with as many.

We've won a conference title every 3.62 years since we started our program.

We are nowhere near Aggies basketball program, tradition speaking.

Maybe recently. Historically, it's UK, UNC and UCLA and then the next tier. Don't disagree adding kU, Duke and 'Ville if only looking more recently, relatively speaking.
