Why is Alabama Baseball cancelling their mid-week games?

Is your baseball team opting out? Seems like a pretty crappy thing to do to those schools that could use the RPI boost.

Pretty sure if Alabama ends the season squarely on the bubble, the committee will leave them out. It's easy to see what they are doing.

The pitching staff is out of arms due to injuries. I think they should play the games. It’s weak looking to not play them.
The argument about boosting the opponents’ RPI is dumb though. The only way a team like Samford is making the field is an automatic bid. Their RPI is pointless.

LSU needs more help than Bama to get in the tourney and they went ahead and played rescheduled games vs Grambling and Southern.
