Why hasn't Vandy been kicked from the SEC?

Yeah they've been great in baseball, but the SEC doesn't exactly lack depth there. There can be conference events in Nashville with or without them. They make 0 effort to build fan support or compete in FB or bball. Am I missing something? Replace them with Memphis, which is strong in the two revenue sports and would be a good rival for Arkansas and Tennessee, they're already rivals with Mississippi and Mississippi State as well.

Your lack of education is showing, which is ironic in this situation

They are a charter member and did not leave the SEC like Ga Tech and Tulane did. I do agree they need a strong AD to commit more resources to their football and basketball programs.

Please explain then. What value does Vanderbilt add? They are dead weight

I agree Vandy does not bring much to the table other than baseball and academic standing. If the SEC did boot them, they would not be replaced with a school the caliber of Memphis. It would be OU or an ACC school.

The ironies continue. It sounds like you know what’s going on.

It's the 15th ranked university in the country and a charter member. SEC presidents and administrators love Vanderbilt.

They would've whupped yall like five straight by now if it was an annual series. They've upgraded their facilities recently as well. Every SEC school other than Vandy "graduates" semi-literate fb players. Honestly wouldn't you rather have a meaningful instate rivalry with good attendance?

How's someone gonna call out Vandy. They've got baseball and they're generally very good at basketball (not so much recently) Their only crime is Skip Bayless.

No "kick them out" thread is complete without mentioning Mizzou, so here it is.

Academics are kind of the whole point to these universities...

They make the conf look better. Leave the nerds alone, you bullies.

The SEC is an athletics conference though, having Vandy doesn't raise the academic reputation of other member universities.
