Why has LSU had such a long run of QB ineptitude?

Both UGA and Alabama have been able to succeed with true freshmen QBs lately.

Auburn has put transfer QBs out there to pretty good effect.

Dan Mullen was able to turn overlooked QBs into bonafide stars.

Ole Miss has had Chad Kelly, Shea Patterson, and Bo Wallace.

Even South Carolina has found guys like Connor Shaw and Jake Bentley to be successful.

Why hasn't LSU been able to find a QB that will work when they seemingly have all the other pieces (top notch RBs and WRs, a decent enough OL, multiple different OCs)?

Screw LSU I am tired of this worn out topic. They suck and will continue to as long as ZERO is their coach.

No natties or good seasons since their daddy, Nicholas.

I mean it's not like y'all haven't had some good prospects come in either. It's just mind boggling

Dak looked better his NFL rookie year, and Tebow isnt in the league.

I also believe those are two freak players regardless of coach.

Dont get the whisperer thing about him though.

They're just being who they always were, one good run set up by Saban doesn't change that

Dak was legitimately good in college, though. He also played into Tebow's strengths as a QB rather than force him to be a pocket passer like Stafford and Mustain as his contemporaries in that recruiting class.

The real development has been with Nick Fitzgerald who went from a low level recruit out of South Georgia to a legit threat at QB in the SEC

I don't disagree

I think Mullen should be thankful he was under Meyer. Lets not forget that Meyer is a pretty self centered, nose in everything, perfectionist.

Fitzgerald was a well coached player. Interesting to see how he is coming off this injury.

Alex Smith, Tebow, Dak, Cam Newton before he got booted from FL. Mullen knows a little bit about QBs. Fitz only offer other than State was Middle Tenn and he's a pretty good QB

sure he may look it against the likes of Arkansad but he's trash against a defense with a pulse

I know these as well. My point still standing that these are very gifted players. Not saying Mullen didn't develop them, but don't get the whisperer part. Fitz kind of shows that. Fitz is still good, don't take that out of context either.
