Why does this coach from Utah ever get any big time job offers?

Guy has done a great job at Utah for years but no major team ever seems to go after him hard. He took Utah from rags to riches and it just seems like some big school would recognize that after make him an offer he can’t refuse.

Pretty sure he has been offered other jobs. Think he just likes being in Utah

I’m sure he’s gotten calls. Probably just loves where he’s at. He was there for 10 years before being named the head guy

I mean they’re a powerhouse in the PAC. Maybe he likes where he’s at. They were a G5 when Urban left.

Whittingham is a Rocky Mountain guy through and through. He was the one who took over for Meyer a looooong time ago. He’s content where he’s at

Smarter than the dumbass Harsin and knows Utah football.

I get that but if someone would show him the money I’m sure that would get his attention. He would be a fool not to listen and give the offer serious consideration no matter how much he loves the place.

Money doesn't motivate Willingham. I believe he could've had the USC job years ago.

He can't leave Utah. Nowhere else will let him bring all his wives.

Willingham makes $6 Mil a year. How much more money can he spend? would $10 Mil a year really change his life from day to day?
At some point, more money is just a number. More doesn't really change much.

He's making $6 million a year at Utah. The only reason coaches leave any program is to make moe money. He is getting big program money at Utah , not much incentive to leave.

If he had five ex wives then he better start job shopping lol.

Maybe he likes it in Utah.
Hopefully, he gets a bigger job soon. He has earned it.

Yeah, its crazy to think he has been there for going on 20 years now as the head coach. There's not a lot of guys like him around anymore.

Always thought it was better to make big $$ in a less pressure environment. $6M for 20 yrs is better than $8M for 5 and getting fired

Yep...kinda why it was stupid for Freeze to leave Liberty while making around $5 million with little pressure to au for $6.5 million and drag his family all back through rehashing his past.
