Why does saban need 12 men on defense?

I’ve been watching some replays of games this year....
So many times he had 12 men on the field....
Is it bad coaching?
Is it not smart players?
Or is it just Unfair?
Should the SEC change the rules so saban can have 12 men on the field?

LSU beat them when they put 12 men on the field and when they left 11 on the field. Regardless, just let the season speak for itself.

Many Bammers bring that up as a mistake that cost them the ball.
Burrow realized you had 12 men on and it was a free play and just threw it up for grabs.

That seems kind of dumb to blame it on the game in light of all the turnovers.
Don't know what Burrow saw etc, but it doesn't really matter.
