Why does Saban always blame the losses on Distractions?

The guy can never admit that he just gets beaten down by better game-planning and in game coaching. It’s really sad to see him go down like this.

It’s probably “energy vampires.” Chizik

Maybe John L Smith can join his staff as an analyst.

Because distractions are a distraction.

Because he’s being honest even though everyone else sees them as excuses.

Lol.

What distraction did his team face that Clemson didn't? Clemson had one of their best defensive lineman out for the game which was bigger news than anything that alabama had.

Clemson was juicing hard. Tough to beat team of equal talent but that is juicing.

He will admit he got beat.

But he is like any other serious professional. Given the amount of talent his teams have, he is going to go back and dissect the loss until he has it figured out.

As for Tua, he probably beat himself up more than anyone else did since the game. Probably looked at that game film at least 50 times with a notepad in hand.

As for LSU, what everyone forgets is Bama ends with LSU, MSU, and Auburn, the toughest defenses they face all year. That is a murderers row of sorts that Clemson doesn't have to face. Oh, don't forget the SECCG to boot.

It is sad.

But we all knew it was coming, minus the Alabama fans.

They're still hanging his cheesy arse quotes on their trailer walls to help inspire them while watching old highlight films and drinking their warm Nattys.

It's true. I wonder what excuse he is going to make when we roll them at B-D stadium on 10/26?

Average people and coaches say "oh well, we got beat by the better team, happens to everyone sometimes." Saying the better team beat you is just a cop-out to not have to fix your own mistakes.

Elite coaches like Saban say "How on earth did we lose? What went wrong? What can we do differently next time? Losing should never happen and we are going to find the problem and fix it."

As long as you congratulate and acknowledge your opponent after a loss (which Saban always does) then I would much rather have a coach who finds losing to be unacceptable than one who sees it as just a part of football.

That's what I love about our program and fans. We concede nothing, even when getting our asses handed to us. #Smugface

Which happens when you dont prepare well. He said Bama was out coached vs Clemson. He has the best players in the country. They should be able to win every game they play. If they dont then the coaches didnt do their jobs. Why is this so hard to understand?

He has won 87% of his games in the toughest league in CFB. 5 natties, 6 conference championships.

Just feels like he’s a good source for why his team loses

I'd much rather him drive himself mad trying to fix what went wrong in a loss. Losing is unacceptable to some coaches.

To other coaches who average 3-4 losses a year consistently, they make promises to "turn this thing around", and they claim year after year that "the future is bright" while they put the same unprepared team on the field and lose another 4 games the next yr.
