The 15 and 16 teams were pretty talented.
His last 2 recruiting classes were pretty bad.

Cause he wasnt Dooley, so whatever jones did his first 4 yrs was God like at UT. Especially with the way Dobbs was playing, and his clean off the field persona to market. Dobbs left, and his lack of player dev ability showed up real quick.
Jones also had like 30+ kids he could sign his first 2, and lots of legacy, and in-state high * talent popped up for him.
All the "why do people think jones....insert positive" comes back around to he wasn't Dooley though, and The Legion of the Miserable well...being miserable.

Botch is gone so we don't have to worry about his sorry arse any longer......He's coaching at his sons school Knoxville Catholic. They best hope he doesn't frick them up too. If I was in charge of Catholic I'd keep him away from the program and make his stupid arse buy a damn ticket to the games.

This. We have some MAJOR holes on the roster. Jones only recruited dline one year. I think the dude thought that the 2016 team was going to be his ticket out so he got lazy on the recruiting trail.
