The committee saved A&M from embarrassment by keeping Bama and Clemson from butt raping them. Its almost like the aggies are into that sort of thing.

What you must first understand is that a lot of Aggy folk actually think they are a legitimate program.
There is a severe amount of mental illness amongst the fan base.
Everyone else knows its a trash program with no respect but some of the sensitive types are trying to shield the mentally ill Aggies from these hard truths.
