Is it to remember which conference they belong to? If someone yelled A-A-C, would they chant that?

It’s something that the conference took pride in when SEC fatigue set in amongst CFB. This really took flight circa 2004 but had been done before. Anytime an SEC team lost people would mock “the mighty SEC” and take shots anyway they could. The conference banded together during the run of titles and threw it back in their face.
