Because UF has been dogshit since Meyer left. Meyer is really the only time in history Florida has ever been a true national contender every year. Basically built that program to the stack of shite it is today.

2019 UF was better and LSU hung 42 on them.

ETA.

Whoa. Look at the anger-typed warrior poet post above.
Florida will deny your rivalry, just like errbody else.

I agree losing to dumpster fire Lsu has made us a shitty program this year. I can imagine losing to good teams like Alabama and Oklahoma

Meyer was there 6 years. They were national title contenders for 3 of those years.

What’s it like to lose to Oklahoma? I wasn’t alive to see it. Does it feel like bags of sand?

The Gators were lethal in 1984-85 and would have won NCs both years except for NCAA jail...and before mutts pile on...those penalties in 1983 included buying a pack of chewing gum at the airport for a recruit because his ears popped on planes...I kid you not...and we didnt sign him anyway.

One of the worse violations was flying a recruit in a booster's plane. The booster? None other than George Steinbrenner...who also donated to other schools in Florida like Free Shoes Univ, Univ of South Florida, Univ of Nu Jawsey @ Coral Gables. He donated a lot of $$$ and owned the Yankees...very involved in college baseball. Was it a violation ? Yes...but dont think for a minute he didnt use his plane to fly recruits for Miamuh, or the Institute for Higher Tutor Learning in Tallahassee.

Also lost three straight to end the season.

Consistency I guess.
