Why do people associate LSU with corndogs?

We all know, it was an unoriginal copy job by an Aubie ripping off a jab at Nebraska, a knock off that could make Clemson proud.
I see plenty of Aggies use this term toward LSU fans and it makes me wonder why residents of a state that literally invented the corndog are trying to use it as a term of ridicule toward others.
Literally a staple synonymous with Texas as much as the Alamo and ten gallon hats.
You dont see LSU fans calling Aggies an "oyster" or a "crawfish" even though Aggie crawfishes on its claim of being "an elite program" every fall.
Here's a former Aggie, Texas Governor Rick Perry deep throating a dog.
There's even a sexual act named the Texas Corndog according to Urban Dictionary:
Texas Corndog:
The act of filling a women's vagina with corndog breading, then inserting your penis and taking it out, putting it in a deep fryer and having her eat your fried dick, thus the Texas Corndog.
Its quite confusing to me why Texans try to use an invention of their own as an insult but we'll take it, there's worse things one could be called I suppose.
Such as perennial underachievers.
Cheers.

Fletcher’s Corny Dogs is the first stop for nearly everyone who attends the State Fair of Texas, but did you know the iconic battered and fried wienie on a stick had its roots in Vaudeville? In fact, the corn dog was invented right here in Texas.
The Fletcher brothers invented the State Fair’s most famous fried treat after enjoying long careers as Vaudevillians. Carl and Neil Fletcher performed in a show called “The Drunkard” for several years at the State Fair of Texas, toward the end of their show business careers.

I know right? If he’d been around since the site’s creation he’d have 217,000 posts.

You're right.
No one has ever put a bracket together in March.

Why are you melting about my post count in my thread?
You seem insecure about your own post count and the fact that it isnt as big as mine.

I’ll never understand how people make fun of corn dogs. They are delicious. Same with fried chicken and watermelon. Why anyone makes fun of eating these things is beyond me.

Especially when they invented it.
Weird flex.

The original thought was they smell like corndogs at the state fair. And it spread from there until it became a consensus. I've never used any of these "lovable" terms SEC fans use to describe their opponents such as the faggies thing. And I think they are in use for 2 reasons: one is for poking fun and the other is because your team has trouble competing with the target. Or maybe just lost to them.
