Agree. Let him stay at ole miss forever. Nobody come after him ever. He’s not worth it. Not even a little bit. You’d be wasting your time. So leave. Now. Before you regret even looking at him.

I would imagine his 14-10 SEC record comforts you enough

If you're looking for a head coach, who else is there to get excited about?

Lane is a sexy hire because he talks smack on Twitter and usually has good offenses.

And he may win 10 games in back to back years at Ole Miss, something that's never been done.

He’s a good play caller & develops his offensive talent really well, but it takes a lot more than that to sustain success at a high level of competition.

Ole Miss fans love him because he’s building us into a bit more of a consistent program(read: winning seasons).

He hasn’t accomplished anything that’s a makes me think it’s guaranteed his a championship caliber coach…..but it’s solid steps in the right direction. We’re an incredibly young team and anyone who expected us to be in Atlanta this year is an idiot.

That’s why ole miss fans want to keep him.

Honestly I think it is because there isn't much else to talk about this year as far as changing SEC head coaches.

He is in my book, also. I hope he hires Cam2 or Matt Corral 2nd and rides them just as hard as he has as Ole Miss's HC.

One day ... others will notice.

And if it keeps him out of the contention for Bama, good enough for me.

Rushing attempts during Derrick Henry's 2015 season
A&M - 32
LSU - 38
Auburn - 46
Florida - 44
Clemson - 36

quote:

A big reason Henry was so productive this season is because he finished with 395 carries, which is the fifth-highest total in a single season in NCAA history. Even NFL running backs (who are getting paid) don't get that many touches. In fact, only six times in NFL history has a running back gotten 395 carries or more.

gtfoh with that shite.

Which one of those 10 wins is his signature win? Kentucky?

He could win at least one more game every year if he scrapped the 4th down attempts.

You’re looking at 9-10 wins vs 8-9. That’s huge in terms of postseason scenarios and possible SEC title berths.

He needs to stay at Ole Miss. He has it made there.

Not sure, don’t interact with idiots.

Unbiased fans like Kiffin because they recognize that he’s a top five offensive coach in College Football.

I don't really get this. I think everyone has a fairly realistic read on Lane.

Mark Stoops is getting paid almost 9 million dollars. That Lane Kiffin is going to get 10ish isn't crazy. He's a household name in CFB who will drive attention to a program, is a strong offensive mind and has a history of pretty strong success managing programs.

If we hire him we're paying a premium for a guy who led his last two programs well and was an integral part of a powerhouse at Alabama. He's got all the makings of a guy ready to take a step forward.

I don't think Lane Kiffin is an elite coach, I think it's <50% he becomes a truly elite coach. But you're paying 10-11m for a guy who a) appears to be someone you can count on to keep your team relatively in the mix in a very competitive conference with 9-11 win type seasons and b) who has some upside as far as being able to potentially compete with the upper echelon (ie, periodic runs, winning your fair share, some chance of rising to a higher tier as HC).

Auburn is a top 15ish all time program and Kiffin appears to be the type of HC that can get AU to top 10-15ish results. That's what Auburn will be paying for. And it's probably worth 10-11m to Auburn to get back to that level.
