Why do fans of SEC teams circle jerk during bowl season?

As an OU fan, i don’t give a shite and openly root against UT in their bowl game. It seems like SEC teams take pride in another team from the conference winning a bowl game. Please explain because it doesn’t make sense to me. Razorback fans are the worst example. Terrible program but takes pride in being SEC lol

I could care less if another SEC team wins their bowl game...unless they are playing an opponent with obnoxious fans (like OU or Clemson).

As an Alabama fan, I openly root against Auburn and Tennessee in their bowl games, regular season games, debate club matches, grant requests, etc.
So, not sure what you are asking.

OU fans were on here Big 12 chest bumping last night so check with them. This thread is literally you trying to shite on “SEC fans”. If you don’t care about conference performance then why would you be making this thread? And to answer your question, they do it because it bothers you. Don’t say it doesn’t because again, you’re here making this thread.

Only thing that made me crap on OU was the S-E-C chants. It was pathetic considering how regularly OU gets slaughtered by SEC teams. They finally win one against a skeleton crew and they beat their chests like idiots.
I don’t know why Big12 champions are scheduled to play the 3rd best SEC team anyway?

Because it helps our conference and programs financially.
SEC teams stomping OOC opponents increases the perception that we are the premier conference, which helps the conference when it comes to TV deals, and that money gets redistributed evenly back into the programs.
You wouldn’t understand that in the B12 where Texas just keeps everything for themselves and still sucks.

I pull for Auburn to win and every other SEC team to lose. Especially pull against UGA and Bama.

It doesn’t make me feel good to hope others feel badly—particularly where family/SEC is concerned.
The horns are the obvious exception.
Not only do I root against them in their bowl game, I struggle not to root against them in life.
It’s beneath me, and I’m not proud of it.
