No Ohio State fan I’ve ever met would white knight for Alabama at the expense of a 4-5 LSU team.

Because Bama is their measuring stick. Problem is 10 out of 11 times they come up short, so a close loss to Bama is in fact proof to them that the program is moving in the right direction.
