Why did Saban have Divinity kicked off LSU's team?

That doesn't make a lot of sense for Saban to use the REC's influence in that fashion.
Was Divinity even that good of a player? Wasn't he a 2nd stringer? I don't know, maybe he was a starter, no one keeps up with lsu that much. Was Saban that scared of Divinity?
Was Divinity at a level of play where Saban felt he had to go right before the Bama/lsu game was about to be played?

I just hope senile Saban remembers to dye his hair this week. He was looking like the old gray haired man he is two weeks ago.

It was purely a demonstration of control and power. He was showing the SEC and more importantly, the SEC refs just what can happen if they stray off the reservation.
The mob occasionally just offs some lower level flunky as a warning. US forces in Iraq or Afghanistan sometimes take out a bunch of water carriers just to show off their tech. This is the same thing.... stay in the lane or get outed and exiled. That goes for all tigers, coaches, players, fans and the whole cotton picking State. You have been warned and the REC doesn’t play games.
Believe me, Steve Shaw and Ritter have made sure the message has been received loud and clear by the crew calling the game. Now just bend over and assume the supplicant position. You know what’s coming. Relax and enjoy it.

He wanted to go back to college to beat LSU and proved he could beat the team he once coached there!

It's obvious idiot. Saban controls everything. Even the POTUS said 'yes sir' and is now attending the game.

Who cares? Our linebacker play has been average all across the board. Divinity has been average. Someone else will step in and be average.

That's more believable than him quiting and running away from the NFL.

They like their weed at Red Stick, no doubt Alabama's players do too. I think some players on all teams may be an occasional weed smoker.
But, sometimes lsu players do seem to be too obvious about it. I know Alabama players have had some problems recently with weed and guns but, that was just some players doing what they wanted and not thinking about their teammates. That always happens at schools from time to time over the decades.
At lsu, it's an overall culture. They like everyone to know they smoke weed. The carnival atmosphere they live in with NO being nearby and everything, it's just who they are.
